Chennai has six institutes in the NIRF 2025 management Top 100, led by IIT Madras (13) and Great Lakes (37), followed by LIBA (55), SRM (56), Saveetha (63) and Anna University (88). TANCET, run by Anna University, is the state's MBA entrance test and is accepted alongside CAT and XAT at several schools here, from Saveetha and SRM to XIME's Chennai campus. The city's automobile and engineering belt around Oragadam and Sriperumbudur, plus its share of about 10% of India's global capability centres, gives MBA students steady demand in operations, supply chain, finance and analytics roles.
