The Chandigarh tricity has three NIRF 2025 management entries: Chandigarh University in Mohali (rank 32), Panjab University in Chandigarh (rank 92) and Chandigarh Business School of Administration, Landran (101-125 band). Panjab University's University Business School fills its regular MBA seats on CAT scores, while ISB's Mohali campus runs a one-year PGP that takes GMAT or GRE. There is no state MBA entrance test here, so aspirants mainly prepare for CAT and the exams each university names, at coaching centres in Sectors 34, 35 and 8.

NIRF 92Admission weighs the CAT score at 85%, with GD and PI at 7.5% each. Before 1995 the school was PU's Department of Commerce and Business Management. NIRF rank 92 is for Panjab University as a whole.

NIRF 101-125The UGC gave the business school autonomous status for 2025-26 to 2034-35. The MBA page lists AICTE approval but no entrance exams.

Needs at least two years of full-time work experience. From the April 2025 intake, only test-centre GMAT/GRE scores count; online or at-home scores do not. Not in the NIRF 2025 management list.

Chitkara University (Rajpura, on the Chandigarh-Patiala highway) is 78 but NIRF lists its city as Rajpura, so it is not counted. Panjab University's listing covers the whole university, not UBS on its own.
IIM Sirmaur (Dhaula Kuan, Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh); its website names Chandigarh as one of its two access airports. In Punjab, IIM Amritsar is ranked 64 in NIRF 2025 Management.

The regular MBA and its specialisations use your CAT score, weighted at 85%, plus GD and PI at 7.5% each. The MBAfEX for working executives uses Panjab University's own CET(PG).

Three. Chandigarh University, Mohali is 32, Panjab University is 92 and Chandigarh Business School of Administration, Landran is in the 101-125 band. Chitkara University (78) is listed under Rajpura.
Does ISB Mohali accept CAT?
No. ISB's PGP FAQ lists GMAT or GRE taken at a test centre, and asks for at least two years of full-time work experience.
