MBA vs PGDM: what is the difference?
A degree from a university or a diploma from an autonomous institute, and why it matters less than you think.
An MBA is a degree awarded by a UGC-recognised university. A PGDM is a diploma awarded by an AICTE-approved autonomous institute. Many top PGDM programmes (some with AIU equivalence) are valued by employers as highly as MBAs; what matters most is the institute, faculty and placements.
